Role Description
As an ADSS support worker, you will work closely with participants to empower them, foster their independence, and work alongside them to improve their quality of life.
You will be assisting participants and their families achieve the goals in their NDIS plans by:
- In home support including meal preparation and domestic tasks
- Transport – medical appointments, banking, shopping and leisure activities
- Social support including outings
- Group Activities

- Support client to manage the risk and ensure their safety and general health and wellbeing
- Willingness to provide full support to the clients where needed.
- Passionate about helping others.
- Work in a manner which empowers and values people with a disability.
- Understand the needs of vulnerable people and be able to use your own initiative.
- You value your participants and want to make a genuine and positive difference in their lives, on their terms, not yours!
Qualifications and desired requirements
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability, or Individual Support (Required)
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR (Required)
- At least 3 months proven experience (Desired)
- Mental health first aid
- DHS Working with Children clearance & NDIS Worker screening.
- Full Australian current driver’s license.
- Comprehensively insured and roadworthy vehicle.
- Must be available for ongoing shifts on weekdays, weekends and evenings.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Infection Control Training – Covid19.
